Who Am I?

My name is Jonathan Hunt and I am a self-employed internet marketer and web designer, making my living creating and promoting websites for customers in and around Kent (England).

Why Web Design?

I’ve always been a bit of a geek. Okay, okay, a massive geek. All throughout my childhood computers were my life. At 23, they still are!

It kind of started off as a hobby of mine to make websites. For me it seemed like nothing special to be able to install a forum and website for people to use to stay in contact with each other. Yet it seemed the task always fell to me, as nobody else had a clue how to do it!

It wasn’t until a few years later that I realised it was actually more than just a ‘simple thing’. As it turned out creating professional looking websites quickly wasn’t something that just anybody could do! But at this point this was still an unknown to me.

From Hobby to Business

During 2007 I started working for a company in their office. While I had to leave the company due to moving, it really opened my eyes as to how advanced my skills were compared to other people. Things that were taken for granted in my day to day use of computers was suddenly a massive asset that had barely even crossed my mind before.

As such I took a leap of faith and registered as a self-employed web designer.

My First Client

My first client was a family friend who had an existing website, made by their brother years before and the whole thing was a shambles. It looked like it had been made in half hour by someone who thought that MASSIVE BOLD TEXT, bright yellow backgrounds, marquees and spinning @ symbols were cool, and entirely professional for a business website… While that might have been the norm in the mid 90′s, the website was only a few years old!

Worryingly, this was true for so many other company websites I saw.

It also took me by surprise how many clients would tell me how annoyed they were at their old web design companies, who took ages to reply let alone do anything. Plus they always wanted to keep things to emails.

My Goal

After seeing how much could be done for so many websites, it has quickly become a sort of ‘mission’ of mine to help local businesses by giving them an approachable and face to face web design solution. Half the problem for most companies is they simply do not know what they need and would rather speak to someone in person.

So that is what I offer – Face to Face Web Design, for all businesses in Kent. No matter if you want a tiny website just so that you have an online presence, or you would like to turn your company in to a fully automated online business, I will sit down with you and make it all happen.
